90's child
Bought some bright ribbons from a children's craft shop, and some children's jewellery from Primark. And lo and behold my new Nike ID Dunks. Had them made about a month ago, because I couldn't find any all grey trainers, and got enticed by the neon peach lining at the last minute. Super brights. Yeahhhhhhhhhhh.
Top Gap, skirt Reiss, trainers Nike ID, jewellery customised Primark.
I was inspired by the tutorials on Honestly WTF?

hair me out
Messed up hippie plaits and grown out dye are my two favourite trends at the moment, in part because I've decided to grow out my dye job, which a little darker than the colour of Abbey's hair below, also as finals approach washing my hair properly is going to take up more time than I can afford, so finding a way to make scruffy and unwashed look intentional is a good thing.
To get waves and slightly frizzy hair try a salt sea spray, my favourite is Bumble and Bumble's, but Umberto Gianni does a cheaper version at Boots. Don't apply this spray before you go to sleep, I woke up looking like a cave woman, not in a good way.
Or try french braids
(Check out a tutorial here)
Or fish tail plaits, I have yet to master them but I'm not going out much so I will fill the empty abyss of evenings with practising.
(Check out a tutorial here).
Bringing Californian-laid-back-surf-punk-grunge-haute hippie-chic to Oxford. Yes.

you've got to laugh
I Hurt I Am In Fashion is a really fucking funny blog. Deflating the seriousness of fashion shoots makes you realise how patently ridiculous they are. Still pretty though. Click on the name to have a gander.

dazzled
I know it's been blogged a million times before, but I just can't wait for summer and this makes me feel like it's almost here.

Back again
I did move to a different blog for a while but for a variety of reasons I'm back here, with a super simple new layout. Today Oxford is bathed in sunshine, it's feels like it's finally spring and I'm almost at the end of the last essay I'll ever be set. So good things are happening. Here is my outfit for the day.
I spent some of this morning wandering around the Pitt Rivers Museum, which is full of dinosaurs, sea creatures, shrunken heads and talismans. Pitt Rivers decided to curate his collection according to type rather than chronologically or culturally, so you just get cases full of wonderful jumbles. I also bought this bag, which is like, totally, like tribal. Not going to lie I've been searching for one for ages. Love R x
